Flexo Image Graphics (FIG) represents several leading companies from all over the world and specializes in serving the narrow web converter. Its plans for the India Converting Show 2007 include introducing some state-of-the-art machinery including the latest Mark Andy MA 2200 press, Alphasonics' latest Flexo Plate Cleaning System and the XP 5000 with VSR 300D the only fully integrated workflow for servo operation on the market that is exclusive to Mark Andy. The Mark Andy MA 2200 has been upgraded with several new developments. These new attachments are as follows: Vertical Denser, which increases substrate latitude of film and label stock. Infeed option for constant torque, closed loop control and servo control (more choices). Ergonomically designed printing cassette easily mountable on “self aligning” track which allows off-line clean-up and setup. Newly designed, heavy-duty air clutch driven waste wind up - 32” (813mm) - that provides high torque and cooler operation. Giant 40” (1016mm) rewind with taper tension control, which provides uniform tension throughout entire roll size. Heavy-duty die station - 10 times more rigid than support roll driven model. High efficiency hot air drying system suitable for some films, which is best in class for high-speed production. The new Alphasonics Flexo Plate Cleaning System has the following special benefits: No operator assistance is required. Plates are thoroughly cleaned on a microscopic level. Risk of damage to high screen plates is greatly reduced. It is kinder to the environment and safer for the operator. Systems are available from narrow web through to wide web corrugated web. It enables plates to be stored almost immediately after cleaning. “The narrow web market is thriving and the needs of the printer is becoming more sophisticated.
