Leading manufacturer of self-adhesive labelstock Weldon Celloplast Limited will be showcasing its security label solutions during the India Packaging Show 2007. “The highlight of these solutions would be the non residue void which has been especially developed keeping the FMCG and the luxury goods manufacturers in mind”, informed Harveer Singh Sahni, Managing Director of Weldon Celloplast. “This year, the focus will also be on innovative stationery items developed by us along with our vast range of labelstock.” Weldon is a UL certified ISO:9001:2000 unit having its head office in New Delhi and manufacturing plant at Faridabad, Haryana. It offers a variety of customised self-adhesive label materials, specialty tapes and security label-stock options. In view of large scale counterfeiting and duplication, it is becoming imperative for producers and marketers of branded products like important drugs and formulations to opt for security labels. The need is for using labels with covert and overt features such that the labels are customised and exhibit tamper-evident properties when opened. Weldon specialises in developing such materials cost-effectively. Its product range also includes materials for variable information printing like thermal transfer label stock for barcodes, wood-free substrates for price marking and computer labels in fanfold and A4 format. Weldon's range of Fasco Security Solutions consists of 6 variants. Fascon TampVoid displays the word “VOID” on both the labelled surface and on the label when peeled off. This can be customised to different colours and the word “VOID” can be changed to read any name the customer wants, which could be the company name or a message they want to be displayed there. This label is ideally suited for all outer carton applications, bottle sealing, envelop sealing etc. Fasco TampTrans has a base coat of white on the label which gets transferred on the surface on which it is applied. The colour in this case can be customised as desired by the customer. This label is ideally suited for all outer carton applications, bottle sealing, envelop sealing etc. Fasco TampFoam has special foam integrated into the label, which when peeled off splits into 2 parts, which cannot be joined together again. This label is ideally suited for promotional items going along with products where a double side label of this quality is applied and it shows tamper evidence if anyone in the supply chain tries to remove the promotional item. Fasco ClearVoid is a clear label when seen but when you try to remove it, it displays “VOID” all over. Again, this can be customised to read any name or message desired. This is ideally suited for cheque security and pharma applications where the message beneath the label has to be visible. Fasco Non-Residue Void is a breakthrough in innovation. When this label is viewed, one cannot read anything but when peeled it displays “VOID” on the surface of the label leaving no marks on the surface applied.
