Recently Marsons bagged a single contract to supply 14 machines for a Word Bank sponsored project. ``We call this reward of millennium and global acceptance,`` says James D`Silva, Executive Director (Mktg & Sales), Marsons Print Graf Machines Pvt. Ltd. The project was to provide machines to various printing technology polytechnics in the country. Other recent set-ups include installation of a hot-melt coating plant (42`` web width) of commander series for Positive Packaging Industries Pvt. Ltd. at Khopoli, Maharashtra; narrow width cantilever type menthol coating & rewinding plant (8`` web width)super standard series for GTC Industries Ltd; vertical type dry and wet bond lamination plant (42`` web width) of super standard series for OHP Ltd., Lagos, Nigeria (3 machines here). It also supplied central impression drum type - 4 colour flexographic printing with built-in slitting & triplex rewinding (44`` web width) of commander series for TSI. Ltd. situated at Khopoli, Maharashtra. The company recieved 5 products from Marsons. Stack type wider width 4 colour flexographic printing press (64`` web width) super standard series was installed at Unimin India Ltd. at Daman along with on line printing presses, again of the commander series for The TATA Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. at its Jamshedpur plant. ``We have designed and developed for first time in India printing press for `Tata Shakti`,`` says D`Silva. The company made India`s widest rotogravure printing press of web width 56 inches. It can print 8 colours. The machine was made on order for Vishakha Polyfab Pvt Ltd in Gujarat for printing on edible oil packages. 35 years old Marsons has been manufacturing and exporting flexographic stack, modular and C I printing presses. Among the Indian manufactures of packaging machinery, Marsons contribute substantial share of the Indian as well as export market to meet the demands of different sectors of this industry.
