  August Gathering
Grand Finale to mark BeePasha`s successful sojourn


BeePasha kept her promised date this month with the capital where an august gathering of the city`s printers, converters, industry people and package users came together to celebrate her successful countywide sojourn.

The venue was the Hotel Park in CP. Over two hundred of the city`s elite met up for an informal evening. The perfect setting was a precursor of the upcoming show. ``With the city`s top providers, converters and users coming together today, we have the attention of
the entire industry and can safely predict a successful event,`` enthused Anil Arora, Director Print-Packaging.com. Among the users that were represented in the gathering were companies like Ranbaxy, Modicare, Dabur, Ayur Herbals, Acqua Minerals, Hamdard, Reckitt Benckinser (India) Ltd, Agro Tech Foods, Tinna Oils & Chemicals,
Bikanervala foods (P) Ltd., Cargo International, Frito Lays, Gitwako Farms India Pvt Ltd and Radico.

``Lin Opinion, the PR wing of Lintas will spearhead our marketing campaign upto and during the event`` revealed Arora at the Oak Room addressing the elite gathering as he gave a peep into the exhibitions. ``The focus will shift to the mainstream media and
financial papers that should supplement our long campaign in the trade magazines till now,`` he added.

PV Narayanan, Director, SIES School of Packaging announced that SICPA India Limited would be the official sponsor of the InfoPackage 2003, International conference on trends and technologies of package printing and production. The conference is organised by SIES and will take place concurrent to the twin shows. ``Around 21 sessions will be
covered by over 19 national and international speakers in the industry on the rising technological needs to attain cost optimisation targets,`` said Narayanan.

``These shows will definitely of relevance to everyone who needs a package, from the end users to the brand makers,`` observed K Manan Vice President and Package Design Cell Head of McAnn Erickson, after attending to the organiser`s presentations on the events and the conference.

The buzz had reached the media grapevines. Several of the city journalists were present at the bash and were busy getting inputs from the industry leaders present. Pummy Kaul, special correspondent, Financial Express, who managed to get a detailed interview from Narayanan was suitably impressed. ``It is great to know that this technology driven industry in our country is picking up global trends,`` observed Kaul.

The ICS / IFS 2003 are scheduled to take place from 5th to 8th September 2003, at Hall numbers 12 and 13 at Pragati Maidan. BeePasha will be there in all her glory in her appointed role as the mascot of the show.
