The triple show moved to Chennai

The absence of a regular venue in Mumbai has forced the organisers of the triple shows- India Converting Show, India Flexo Show and India Corrugated Show to move to Chennai for the 2005 edition. `All our exhibitors have backed the move,` says Anil Arora, President, Print-Packaging.com (P) Ltd, the organisers of the shows.

The exhibition was slated for October 2005 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The main hall at the venue is being taken up for renovation and up-gradation during the period of the show. `We were not confident of delivering the ambience that our exhibitors and attendees have come to expect of us in the alternative hall being offered by the venue owners,` says Arora. With more than nine months available for the show, and the major publicity campaign still to follow, he was confident that the change would not affect the show in terms of exhibitors or visitors.

Chennai boasts of a modern venue at the Chennai Trade Centre. The relatively new venue has already been host to several national and international shows. With pillar-less construction and good air conditioning, the venue has all the required facilities for making of a worldclass show.

The publicity campaign for the shows is spearheaded by its mascot- BeePasha, the magical bee. The character is already etched in the minds of the industry after the eventful campaign that preceded the inaugural shows in 2003. An extensive campaign is being planned for BeePasha ahead of the Chennai Show and it is likely that this year's campaign will include a road show in Colombo.

India Converting Show 2005, India Flexo Show 2005 and India Corrugated Show 2005 will now be held together at the Chennai Trade Centre at Nandanbakkam, Chennai from 30 September to 3 October 2005.
