  The ‘Big Bee’
BeePasha brings together four big shows

The adorable mascot of the India Converting Show is slowly creeping back into the consciousness of the industry as the visitor campaign for the August show gets ready to take off. BeePasha, the honey bee that epitomizes the hard working converter will be spearheading the campaign as in the past and this time around besides the India Flexo Show and India Corrugated Show, she would also have the India Packaging Show in her realm. Thus, with a bigger stature, the big bee gets ready to take to the road and the cities that are likely to figure in her itinerary are Dehradun, Kanpur and Indore.

India Package Meet is being planned in these cities and will include, as usual, conferences and table top exhibitions. The day long events in theses cities are slated in the months of May and June and will help hone the visitor campaign in the emerging industrial clusters. The final shape to the programme will be given by the core group of industry players that will meet in Delhi on 13 April.

In its third edition, the India Converting Show and India Flexo Show are expected to be bigger and better. Many of the leading industry players have already committed to exhibiting in the show and others are in the process of finalizing their plans. The two shows have in the past attracted visitors that predominately include package printers and converters not only from all over India but also from the neighbouring countries.

Also, in its third consecutive year, India Corrugated Show has been able to attract a large number of corrugated box manufacturers that visit to see the latest developments in Indian and foreign machineries and materials. As developments in this industry pick up pace, there is a great interest for all stake holders to meet up in this annual forum.

The maiden India Packaging Show in 2006 had been a tremendous success. The over 8000 visitors to the show had included packaging buyers and users across various industries with a larger focus on the food and pharmaceutical industries.

The co-location of the four shows should help the coming together of the packaging converters, suppliers and buyers in a unique platform. The event will also host a two day conference- PackAge 2007. The US based Association of Industrial Metalizers, Coaters and Laminators (AIMCAL) will organise its reputed summer schools alongside the event.

The exhibition will be on from 21-24 August 2007 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The conference will be scheduled on the second and third day of the event. The summer school will be held on 20 and 21 August.
